Not bad, uh?

Drifting on another theme, I’m dying to see ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’, looks HI-LA-RI-OUS! (And Isla Fisher’s perfect for the role of Becky Bloomwood.) Now go see it!!!

But, and there’s always a ”but”, the negative part is when you have to put your credit card number on the website, and then you’re just a few clicks away to buy all the things that you “supposedly” need… All of a sudden you realize you’ve made the biggest mistake of your life after buying something that is obviously not essential.

I think the unbearable part is when you have to wait for the parcel to arrive. Every single day, you check where your packet is with the tracking number that was given to you after the check out. And when the day comes, you’re all super excited to see the mailman coming, knocking at your door, and giving it to you (right, Isabelle? :d).

I’m off to go out with my mum, and then do some writing… toodles!

I wanted to start this brand new post by talking about a new book, which is called Dune Road, written by an amazing British author, Jane Green. Mrs Green has sold many books over the last twelve years beginning with her first book entitled Straight Talking, and then pursuing her writing with novels such as Jemima J, Second Chance or more recently The Beach House. Even though I’ve never met Mrs Green before, I think she’s very down-to-earth and talented, and has got a great sense of humour - I really admire for that.

Only by looking at the cover of Dune Road, you immediately want to read it. We haven’t got any information about the plot yet, but I have a very good feeling about this one. This new piece is set to be released on June 16, 2009… So mark your calendar, and let’s make this book another bestseller! (Check www.janegreen.com if you want more information about the author.)

On another note, I heard that Kate Winslet received two Golden Globes for her performances in The Reader and Revolutionary Road… I assume they might be good movies, that’s why I’m adding them to the list of films I have to watch. If you’ve seen them, you can leave reviews or thoughts if you want to. It would be much appreciated… Thanks!!!

Unfortunately she did not perform. But I guess a little appearance is better than not at all.

I also wanted to say that I watched the Beverly Hills 90210‘s spin-off which is called 90210 (they really racked they brains to find this title!!!). But I have to say, the show is great. The 1h20 season premiere was a real pleasure to watch. And hopefully, it won’t be cancelled after several episodes.

Yesterday, my mum made a pizza which was absolutely wonderful! She made the pastry in the breadmaker, and then garnished it with all sorts of cheeses and tomato. Take a look:

On another note, I finished reading Romeo and Juliet, and really enjoyed it actually. And now I’ve started the last book of the Shopaholic series which is called Shopaholic and baby by Sophie Kinsella. I know I should read books for my Litterature class, but it took me all summer to read the four first ones. So I need to get through the end of it. After that, I’ll read a book for my Litterature class, and then start Second Chance by Jane Green.

My reading schedule is now all set.

I’ve seen all my teachers, and I have to say, two got my attention. The first one is the Philosophy teacher: he’s slowest man I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and of course, keeps contradicting himself when he’s talking. Then we have the English teacher: let’s just say she has no passion for her job, and that her accent is Frenchier than ever.

Anyway we already had homework, and the dates for our several tests. Oh I almost forgot, I have to read Romeo and Juliet by September 23 for my Literature class – great uh?!

It turned out to be really delicious. The only problem was that I needed serrano peppers for the recipe, and they didn’t have that on display. So, I replaced it by some mexican herbs with hot peppers in it. If you want to try it, here’s the recipe:

Eva Longoria’s Guacamole

Ingredients
• 8 large ripe avocados, chopped
• 2 large tomatoes, chopped
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
• Coarse salt
• Juice of 4 lemons
• Tortilla chips, preferably lime-flavored

Directions
In a bowl, combine avocados, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and peppers. Season with salt and lemon juice; mix to combine, mashing slightly. Serve with tortilla chips. (serves eight).

It looks quite disgusting like that… but it’s actually really good! :d

We ate this, and the fajitas which were incredibly HOT good.

On another note, I was on the MSN today, and talked to my friend Cennet. The main subject of our discussion was our trip to NYC, which is supposed to be set for September 2009.

We thought about bringing forward the trip to February 2009, because she had found a cheap flight during the Winter Holidays. So, we looked at different websites for hostels, and found one for a bargain!

We’d already made our counting when we found out the feedbacks we’d read on their website were dated from 2002. The hostel is still in NYC, so we thought that the sightseers were quite happy by it. But they were clearly not.

We checked different websites and read comments (dated from August 2008) about the hostel, and found out that it was not what we expected. I also got a chance to watch a video of the inside hostel, which was taken by a woman who was staying there. And the building was literally like a prison.

The trip is still set for September 2009. And now we’re hoping to find a place to stay there.

Anyway, we’re not going to NYC anytime soon. I guess.

Right now I’m in Senior High School (12th grade), so it’s the last year before college. And I’m really excited about it. There’s a big exam at the end of the year, so the revision won’t be a pushover :s Although I think we’ll get through it by motivating ourselves mutually.  I haven’t even started school yet, that I’m already looking forward when everything’s over :p But I’m sure I’m not the only who think the same…

I think that’s about it for myself.

This weekend I went to a party in a village called ‘Ferrals’ and had the opportunity to meet up with some of my friends that I haven’t seen for quite a while. Here’s two pictures of my friends :

I had an amazing time with them! We danced, laughed, ate (when I say ate, I mean a lot!), and got a chance to do bumper cars, which was hilarious (except for the bruise on my right knee). And then, we went to bed at 3 o’clock in the morning (which we suffered from next morning, because we were extremely tired). Anyway, we had a great time…
